Bring Solar One to your School
Professional Development Training
At a Solar One Professional Development workshop, Solar One educators train teachers on Green Design Lab’s hands-on activities in Energy, Water, Materials, Air and Food. We also train teachers on ways they can work with their students and the rest of their school community to conserve energy and reduce their carbon footprint.
Classroom Residencies
Bring a Solar One Instructor to your school. Solar One classroom residencies utilize place-based STEAM activities to bring climate solutions to life in the classroom.
Summer Programs
Summer experiences blend for-credit academics, wages, leadership development, and engagement in environmental sustainability and environmental justice. Woven throughout the program is the opportunity for students to increase awareness of sustainability career paths in NYC, which are rapidly growing in their communities.
Schoolyard Solar
Students use math, engineering, basic carpentry and electrical wiring skills to design and build a solar energy system for their school or local community.
