September 24 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

rooftop & community solar for new york clean energy transition

As New York determines how to drive progress toward its ambitious clean energy mandates, rooftop and community solar can play a major role. Join us at our Solar One HQ and workforce training center in Long Island City, Queens, for an exciting event focused on scaling up rooftop and community solar deployment in New York.

The event will feature remarks from NY Assemblymember Deborah Glick, Chair of the Environmental Conservation Committee, SEIA President and CEO Abigail Hopper, a presentation from Solar One regarding the organization’s solar and workforce programs, and a briefing from New York Solar Energy Industries Association and partners outlining the proposal to raise New York’s distributed solar goal from 10 gigawatts by 2030 to 20 gigawatts by 2035. The event will culminate in a happy hour and optional facilitated conversations about NY clean energy policy.
