Solar One at LIC Springs! (Long Island City Fest)

🎉 Come see us at LIC Partnership’s annual community street festival LIC Springs! on May 31, along Vernon Boulevard, where Solar One (NYC Environmental Education Non-profit) will have hands on solar-powered activities for kids, rooftop solar guidance, FREE community solar registration information, and more! We will also be sharing more details about our programs that help the Queens and NYC community:

1. Green Design Lab | Cost-free K-12 STEM Education for Students at public schools (theoretical and hands on activities such as small-scale turbine design and competition, solar powered-fans, etc.) in partnership with NYCPS, etc. Opportunities for private school environmental and renewable energy education are also available.
2. Here Comes Solar | Cost-free solar technical assistance for underserved communities across NYC, from rooftop solar installation guidance, to community solar sign ups. Fee for service opportunities for our LIC neighbors are also available.
3. Green Workforce | Cost-free solar installation, carpentry, electric, HVAC, and building maintenance hands-on training and theory classes for underserved NYC communities, in partnership with other non-profits serving un- and under-employed individuals.
