The time is ripe for affordable housing to go solar. With increased incentives for solar from the Inflation Reduction Act, and the opportunity to use New York State’s strongest solar incentives to date, many mid-cycle affordable housing projects may finally find solar within reach – bringing clean energy and electric bill savings to properties and households across the city. Join local solar and housing organizations, Solar One and Housing Partnership, for a presentation on how to bring cost-effective solar energy to mid-cycle affordable housing in New York City. The presentation will include a brief primer on solar for multifamily buildings, an overview of available incentives and financing options, and helpful strategies when moving forward with a solar project on your mid-cycle buildings.
