Learn how to grow oyster mushrooms at home!
Join us as at the Solar One Environmental Education Center as we host the NYC Mushroom Network for a DIY cultivation workshop. Bring a big, clean reclaimed plastic/glass bottle with a lid (2 liter soda, gallon milk, anything food grade), and we’ll provide everything else you need to grow edible oyster mushrooms at right home!
This event is best for adults and kids ages 12+.
Sliding scale tickets will cover materials and directly fund the NYC Mushroom Network’s mission to upcycle organic waste from NYC to grow mushrooms in the community.
