Valery Gonzalez

Environmental Educator

Valery Gonzalez is a bilingual environmental educator passionate about making STEM education equitable, engaging, and accessible for all learners. She holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies and an M.A. in Animal Behavior and Conservation, grounding her teaching in a deep respect for the natural world and the ways humans connect with it.

With nearly a decade of experience in nonprofit education, Valery has worked across museums, schools, and community programs to design hands-on, inclusive learning experiences that spark curiosity and confidence in students—especially those historically underrepresented in science. As a fluent Spanish speaker, she’s dedicated to breaking language barriers and creating classrooms where every student feels seen, capable, and invited into the conversation.

Outside of work, Valery can often be found exploring hiking trails, reading, or relaxing with her pets.

If you’d like to connect about collaborations in STEAM programming, Spanish-language outreach, or environmental education initiatives, she’d love to chat.
