Tania Goicoechea
Environmental Education Program Manager
Tania Goicoechea is an environmental educator committed to making climate education more inclusive and accessible, with a special focus on breaking down language barriers for Latinx communities on the frontlines of climate change. Originally from Costa Rica, she believes that education is a powerful tool for building a more just and resilient future.
Before joining Solar One, she managed an environmental education initiative at New York University, connecting graduate students with real-world, community-based projects. She holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.A. in Environmental Conservation Education from NYU, and is currently pursuing a second Master’s in Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences at the CUNY Graduate Center.
Outside of work, she enjoys going to concerts, painting, and relaxing outdoors with her hammock on sunny days.
