Sylvia Riveros

Environmental Educator

Sylvia Riveros (she/her) is a Colombian interdisciplinary artist and environmental educator who centers imagination as a tool for change. Her practice sits at the intersection of social and climate justice, blending art, participatory research, and pedagogy to translate complex ideas into accessible, creative experiences. She collaborates with communities and organizations to design intergenerational workshops, visual storytelling tools, and arts-based learning spaces that invite collective reflection, play, and connection.

Sylvia holds an MA in XE: Experimental Humanities & Social Engagement from NYU, with a background in Sociology and Documentary Photography, and over a decade of experience working with public and private organizations in Colombia and the United States.

Outside of her work, she enjoys graphic novels, gardening, and boxing. She dreams of reforesting her family’s farm in Casanare, Colombia.
