Philip Fandel
Environmental Educator
Phil Fandel, an environmental educator at Solar One, has spread knowledge in life and physical sciences across New Jersey and globally. Passionate about empowering students, he fosters their potential as catalysts for change. Beyond teaching, Phil collaborates with NGOs, advocating energy efficiency, crafting green roofs, and initiating a compost collection service. Since receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies at the University of Vermont, he’s pursued principles-aligned career choices. Recently, after biking across continents, he embarked on a Master’s degree in Sustainability Science at Montclair State University. His aim is to delve deeper into environmental policy, explore nuances of green energy, and forge strategies for eco-organizations. Logical pursuits captivate him 70 percent of the time; he fancies himself a food critic but shuns ferrets.
