Patience Otun

NYSERDA Clean Energy Hub, Program Manager

Her name is Patience and ironically, she has little to no patience. She was born in Lagos, Nigeria and immigrated with her family to the United States when she was  three years old. Patience lives in the Bronx and witnesses the daily resilience, survival, and thriving nature of the borough’s vibrant communities. She attended Smith College for undergraduate studies and graduate with a double bachelor’s degree in Cultural Anthropology and Government. After her father passed in 2018, Patience volunteered for Americorp Civic Corp and began her work in Green Workforce development. During this time she also graduated with honors from CUNY School of Professional Studies with a Masters in Business Management and Leadership. Patience, who loves to sing, dance, and have great conversations, is a mother of a beautiful toddler girl.
