Nile Luna
Environmental Educator
Nile Luna is a Queens native who is passionate about bridging the gap between the mechanisms of daily urban life and the natural environment. They thoroughly enjoy engaging in environmental advocacy that promotes more sustainable practices and harmony among human-made and natural systems. Nile has a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering with a minor in Environment & Society from Syracuse University, which brought about an interest in environmental injustice among BIPOC communities. As an environmental educator at Solar One, Nile seeks to enforce relationships of respect and kinship among climate initiatives. In Nile’s free time, they can be found watching too much Netflix, in awe of the natural world (especially sunsets), admiring bodies of water, or dancing to a multitude of music genres.
