Elissa Knight

Director of the Clean Energy Communities Program

Elissa joined Solar One in 2018 as a Clean Energy Communities Coordinator where she contributed to program development and data management for the NYC Mayor’s Office of Climate and Sustainability, leveraging energy and emissions data to support ambitious GHG reductions. Elissa now serves as the Director of the Clean Energy Communities Program (CECP) at Solar One. CECP is a program funded by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) which provides direct technical assistance and grant funding to municipalities that complete High Impact Actions to reduce their carbon emissions. She received her M.S. in Sustainability Management from Columbia University and holds an undergraduate degree from Boston College where she majored in Environmental Geoscience and also competed on the track and field team. Outside of the office, Elissa enjoys baking and staying active by running and taking different workout classes around the City.
