David Ehrenberg

David Ehrenberg, currently a Principal at Sterling Development P3 Advisors, is an expert in real estate advisory services, specializing in public-private partnerships and not-for-profit and civic development projects. In his previous role as President and CEO at the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation (BNYDC), he spearheaded a significant transformation during his eight and a half years of leadership. Under his guidance, the Navy Yard expanded by nearly 3 million square feet, creating thousands of jobs and fostering hundreds of companies. His innovative approach led to the development of workforce programs that have since become a model for initiatives in New York City and beyond.
Before his role at BNYDC, David served as the Executive Vice President at the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), where he managed several of the city’s crucial economic development projects, including the creation of Cornell’s Roosevelt Island campus, the redevelopment of vacant land on the Lower East Side (Seward Park), and the Atlantic Yards project. He was also responsible for overseeing hundreds of millions of dollars in programs to support small businesses in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
David holds a degree from Wesleyan University and has earned dual master’s degrees from Princeton University, specializing in Public Policy and Urban Planning.
