Christian Andrés Aponte
Career and Technical Instructor
Christian Andrés Aponte is an educator, poet, dancer, urban farmer, and climate change activist. Joining the Green Design Lab team in 2023 as a Career & Technical Training (CTE) instructor, Christian teaches students across New York City’s five boroughts about solar energy, solar installation, and career readiness. Previously Christian has worked as a youth development and environmental educator for Bike New York, Brooklyn Boatworks, and GrowNYC. Christian is a Fulbright scholar (Brazil, 2014) and graduate of Carnegie Mellon with a B.S. in Global Studies and Latin American Studies. Outside of work, Christian is busy cycling, dancing, farming, and volunteering as an energy healing practitioner.
