As a community solar project, the systems will be \u201cshared\u201d by multiple households\u2014the energy generated by the system will be converted to solar credits on participating household\u2019s bills. All participants will also receive membership into the co-op managing the project, the New York City Community Energy Co-op. Community Power also provided solar installation training to 25 NYCHA residents, 15 of whom were hired by the solar installer, Accord Power, to work on the project\u2019s construction.
