Its mission is to develop eight mobile solar chargers deployed to city-wide\ncommunity hubs for emergency preparedness. These chargers provide supplemental electricity during\nemergencies\, aiding Newark residents with medical devices and electronics. \nTo raise awareness of solar power’s importance\, the initiative hosts eight Community Engagement\nShowcase “pop-up” events. These free events educate Newark students\, families\, and businesses on\nsolar power’s role in emergency services.
