The Center is a thriving hub for climate education\, community action\, and green space stewardship—made possible by the generosity and dedication of people like you. From the opening of Stuy Cove Park in 2000 to overcoming the devastating setbacks of Superstorm Sandy\, our community voiced a powerful support for a space dedicated to sustainability\, native plants\, and environmental education for students and residents to engage in bettering our ecosystem. Solar One was formed as the organization that would achieve these goals. Now integrated into the newly redesigned flood-resilient landscape\, the Environmental Education Center stands as a beacon of resilience and community.
