Clean Energy Communities Program<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Clean Energy Communities (CEC) program<\/a> is funded by the New York State Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). The CEC program provides grants, direct technical support to communities, and recognition to local governments across New York State that demonstrate leadership in the area of clean energy. Solar One is NYSERDA\u2019s implementation partner for CEC in New York City and Long Island. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In New York City, Solar One supports city-wide decarbonization efforts through embedding staff at city agencies, providing support and guidance to the city on implementing clean energy projects, and working closely with community-based organizations (CBOs), borough presidents, and community boards to launch and run clean energy campaigns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CEC on Long Island<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On Long Island, Solar One\u2019s Partner, Cameron Engineering<\/a> works with Long Island municipal leaders to reduce emissions, and will continue to team with its current CEC partners, the Sustainability Institute at Molloy College and the Community Development Corporation of Long Island (CDCLI) to achieve a broader reach, including in disadvantaged communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clean Energy Upgrades<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The CEC program is looking for building owners and Community-based organizations interested in energy efficiency programs and upgrades. We partner with both the NYC Accelerator<\/a> and the Brooklyn & Bronx Energy Hub to provide resources, training, and one-on-one expert guidance to decarbonize buildings in NYC. Under the CEC program, we are able to unlock funding opportunities to carry out clean energy projects or campaigns. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
