Solar One’s course on Ecological Art will introduce students to the rich history of the field through presentations that highlight the projects and techniques of eco-artists in New York City and throughout the world. It will also provide a context for them to create their own drawings, sculptures, installations and designs. The program will initiate discussions about issues of urban ecology and how to use the expressive qualities of art to help restore local ecosystems and communities.
