Storm Water Infrastructure Matters (S.W.I.M.)
Teresa Crimmens, Environmental Coordinator for the Bronx River Alliance

The Clean Water Act states that our natural water bodies should be made fishable and swimmable; however, New York City’s aged sewer system and unambitious water quality policy remain serious barriers to improved health of our waterways. Environmental organizations and advocates from around the city formed the S.W.I.M. coalition in March 2007 to ensuring swimmable waters around New York City through natural, sustainable storm water management practices in our neighborhoods.

Join Teresa Crimmens- a founding S.W.I.M member - for an in depth discussion of the coalitions goals and initiatives.
